A world where every young person—regardless of background—has the confidence, character, and opportunity to succeed. Through access to formalwear and transformative youth programs, we envision a generation equipped with pride, purpose, and possibility.
Our Story
How Fancy Frocks Began
Founded by Sophia Lobban in 2025, Fancy Frocks Foundation was born from the belief that every young person deserves to feel confident and supported during life’s most defining moments. Sophia noticed how financial barriers often prevent youth—especially young women—from fully participating in rites of passage like prom and graduation.
What began as a dress drive has grown into a full-fledged nonprofit, combining style and empowerment with workshops, mentorship, and youth development programs. With roots in South Florida, the Foundation is building partnerships, expanding services, and helping youth across the state walk boldly into their future.
Our Programs
Dress Donation Program
Every dress makes a difference. Our Dress Donation Program collects new and gently used formalwear to provide young people with the confidence to fully participate in milestone events like prom, graduation, and interviews—at no cost. With your help, we turn closets into catalysts for confidence.
Youth Empowerment Programs
Beyond the dress, we empower minds. Our Youth Empowerment Programs offer free workshops in leadership, financial literacy, self-esteem, career readiness, and mentorship. We aim to help underserved youth build the tools and confidence to succeed in life.

Legal Purpose & 501(c)(3) Status
Fancy Frocks Foundation, Inc. is a Florida-based nonprofit organization formed to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.
Legal Purpose:
To collect and re-donate both gently used and new formalwear to underserved young ladies, and to provide educational and youth development programs that empower young people of all genders with confidence, leadership, and life skills.
501(c)(3) Status:
The Foundation has filed for federal tax-exempt status and is currently pending approval under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law once approval is granted.
